A meeting was held at the California Zoroastrian Center in Westminster, California. It began with a lunch that was graciously hosted by the Directors of the California Zoroastrian Center. The WZCC Board was invited to meet with the Directors. Nationally Distinguished Economist Amar Bhide Speaks at WZCC-NY May 18, 2009 saw a compelling session at NewYork's WZCC May meeting in Suffern, New York. Amar Bhide, the Lawrence D. Glaubinger Professor of Business from Columbia University, spoke on his provocative book "The Venturesome Economy, How Innovation Sustains Prosperity in a More Connected World".

WZCC Southern California - On April 1 2009, the North Texas chapter of the World Zoroastrian Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) was honored and delighted to host Mr. Jal Soli Shroff for an award ceremony and dinner.

The Zoroastrian Co-op. Bank Ltd. (ZCBL) has announced a Special MicroFinance Scheme for Entrepreneurs. Under this scheme, a special MicroFinance Fund of Rs.5 crores has been set up, out of which they will be financing Entrepreneurs, to help them set up a new business / service / profession or enhance their existing ventures. The lending will be in the form of a Term Loan upto a maximum amount of Rs.10 lakhs per borrower, for setting up business/for equipments, machinery, furniture etc. Margin will be fixed on case to case basis depending on the financial status of the applicant. for more details.

WZCCI - Mumbai Chapter overnight visit to Valsad
The Managing Committee (Mumbai Chapter) had an overnight visit to Valsad, Daman and Talasari on the 28th February and 1st March 2009. The idea was to visit three industries as well as have a good time.

Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), April 28 - May 3, 2008.
WZCC – Mumbai Chapter in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad conducted a unique Entrepreneurship Development Program for entrepreneurs in small and medium enterprises. The objective of the program was to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of these businessmen, who had not undergone any formal training in entrepreneurship or management.

UK AGM 10 May 2006

The WZCCUK had a programme at the BBC where the new Finance Director of the BBC Miss Zarin Patel addressed our members on 10th May 2006. Then, we all moved to La Porte des Indes, a prestigious London Restaurant and had our AGM. At the AGM, our illustrious founder Chairman Karan Bilimoria ( soon-to-be Lord Bilimoria ) retired after 3 very successful years and in his place Shernaz Engineer was unanimously elected. Jimmy Contractor of Tata Limited was re-elected as Vice Chair. We enclose some pictures of the 10th May which was completely sold out with over 100 attendees. Pictures were taken by ZTFE President Paurushasp Jila who has now joined the WZCCUK committee and by Kobad Avari. Zarin Patel is the the first woman and the first Brit of Asian descent to hold the position of Finance Director of the BBC.

The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India has realized the heritage value of Parsi embroidery, and given a grant under their craft development projects to Parzor. In a constructive effort to preserve and adapt Parsi embroidery, Mr. Ashdeen Lilaowala will conduct craft seminars/workshops in Ahmedabad (mid July 2005), Surat (first half of October 2005) Mumbai (January 2006) and Navsari.

The Pune chapter members need to renew their memberships for the year 2005-06. New members can also register.

An Interactive Session to guide members on CBDT's Circular on Fringe Benefits Tax had been organised at Diplomat Hotel on the 14th Oct. 2005. A distinguished panel of experts addressed the members on the provisions and answered members queries.

A formal launch of the Hyderabad Chapter took place on on September 24, 2005 in the presence of Mr. Minoo R. Shroff and the President of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad & Hyderabad Mrs. G.Y. Chenoy.

A meeting of Zoroastrain business people was held at the Australian Asian Association hall on 22nd Sept. 2005. Mr Ader Gandi from San Fransisco, informed the attendees about the World Zarthuasti Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was about the Inauguration of the WZCC-Perth Chapter.

The 2nd AGM of Mumbai Chapter was held on Sunday, 18th September 2005 at West End Hotel, 45, New Marine Lines, Mumbai-400 020 . The meeting preceded the WZCCI Chamber AGM at the same venue.

At our last dinner program, which was held on the 31st of Aug. 05, we had over 40 attendees at the Madras Pavilion on the Lake in Sugarland. Our first speaker was Mr. Darayus Kolah.

The Bowen Technique Program conducted at India Club on 23rd August 05 was a big success. The event was a joint effort put in by two Chapters, WZCC Australia and the Middle East to facilitate networking and enhance business opportunities between overseas members.

The 1st Iran-India Cultural Festival was held at the Chabahar Free Trade zone from 6th August to 13th August, 2005. The Iran Government beared the full cost of those who actively participated in this Cultural Festival.

The Investors’ Interest Group was inaugurated by Mumbai Chapter on Friday 22nd July 2005 at the WZCCI office at Gamadia Colony by Mr. Jamshed Desai, Head – Portfolio Management Services & Investment Advisory Services of IL&FS Investsmart.

Amidst rains and a working day, the WZCC had a well-attended gathering for its members at a downtown venue on 28th June’05 evening. The highlight of the evening was a wonderful presentation by the chapter chair Kersi Limathwala of their recent cultural cum trade delegation trip to Iran.

The International Board of WZCC was keen that a Trade Delegation of its member from across the world visit Iran. As India had taken the lead last year to organise a successful Trade Delegation of WZCC to the Middle East, hence, this year, India was encouraged to plan a Trade Delegation to Iran. In spite of the fact that there was neither a membership base nor any Chamber activities in Iran, a Trade Delegation was organised by India as it was felt that a visit would at least initiate the process of setting up the Chamber there.

The Pune chapter had a meeting on the 3rd of June 2005, at Hotel Regency. Dr. K.B. Grant who has been the receipient of the prestigious Punia Bhushan award and has epitomised great entrepreneurial spirit, was felicitated in the meeting.

On May 18th, 2005 evening at the Madras Pavillion on the lake in Sugarland we had a program entitled "Health is Wealth". Health affects all aspects of our life especially our profession. A program was held offering practical advise on Cardiovascular Diseases - Prevention and Treatment by Dr. Darius Wania. Cancer Screening and Early Detection for Women and Men by Dr. Yasmin Engineer. Special guest Mr. Bob Bateman - Physician Backed and Formulated Vitamins for Specific Diseases and Other Health and Welfare Purposes.

On May 18, 2005 there was a business luncheon at the Westin Galleria. Speaker was Mr. Jim Kollaer, President of the Greater Houston Partnership and co-hosts were the Houston Minority Business Council.

The World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) recognises, every year, the contribution of Eminent Zarathushti Businessmen to the promotion of industry, trade and commerce by conferring Honorary Membership of the Chamber. This is a singular honour and its bestowed on only one Eminent Zarathushti Businessman Worldwide. This year several nominations were received for Zarathushti businessmen who have distinguished themselves internationally and the unanimous vote was in favour of Pallonji S. WZCC - Houston Chapter presented a seminar on "Women in Business". The speaker was Ms. Sandy R. Poffinbarger, Executive Director of WBEA (Women's Business Enterprise Alliance). The event was held on 17th March, 2005 at MADRAS PAVILION RESTAURANT, TEXAS. to view the snaps taken during the seminar.

WZCC India - Mumbai Chapter & members of the managing committee had a speech on "Union Budget 2005", by Eminent Sr. Counsel Mr. Firoze Andhyarujina. The event was held at M.C. Ghia Hall on 5th March 05 at 6:15 p.m.

The last WZCC UK event for this membership year was scheduled for 21st February 2005. The venue being the London Business School at Regent's Park, one of the top 10 MBA schools in the world.

WZCCA had organized a meeting on Sunday, 30th of Jan 2005. The guest speaker, Mr. Michael Nicholas gave a talk on Franchising in Australia. Michael has a well-established business and he spoke on why you should not work for anybody but yourself. to view some of the snaps taken during the meeting.

The WZCCA had organised the, "Jashan e Sadeh" on Saturday 29 January at 6:30 pm. It is a regular event on the calendar and is celebrated 50 days and 50 nights before Nowruze (the word “sadeh” means one hundred in Persian).

The Houston Chapter had arranged a meeting on the 19th of Jan 2005. Their were 45 attendees who enjooyed the talks on "How to Get Into Business for Yourself", "How to Find Your Niche Market” and “Moving From Start-Up to Managing Your Business".

Mr. Zubin Sethna came to Ahmedabad and presented a paper on "AN INVESTIGATION INTO HOW INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANISATIONAL CONSUMPTION IS AFFECTED WHEN DEALING WITH ORGANISATIONS FROM EMERGING ECONOMIES". The presentation was held on 13th Jan 2005 at Cama Hotels Ltd., Ahmedabad.

The same presentation was also held in Mumbai on 20th of January 2005 at Bombay Parsi Panchayat, Fort.

The WZCC Journal Committee has declared the winner of the contest for naming the Journal. The entry to relate the name of the Journal to Barsam used in our ceremonies representing Hamazori (togetherness) was very appropriate as WZCC's main aim is networking and working together. to view the letter sent to the winner.

WZCC being a global entity was in need of a vehicle to showcase our Zarathushti success and progress and so we now see a new beginning with this, our new WZCC JOURNAL! We must take some time to thank Meher Bhesania, our Regional Director for the Middle East who had visualized this project, got a business plan together, put a team in place and has now delivered this, our first commemorative issue. I will definitely encourage everyone to save a copy since it demonstrates Zarathushti history in the making.

The 2004 WZCC AGM was held in San Jose, CA on December 28th & 31st, 2004. Many of the members actively participated in the meeting. However, a few of them had their proxies who attended the meeting. This fulfilled the quorum requirements and made the meeting meaningful.

WZCCI had arranged a dinner programme on 20th December 2004 at Diplomat Hotel starting at 6.30 p.m. Our keynote speakers were Mr. Hemraj Singh - Regional Manager, National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), who spoke on how NSIC will be of assistance to Small Scale Industries. & Mr. A. The Houston Chapter had arranged an Interactive, Motivational and Confidence Building Seminar, on December 1st, 2004 at PAVANI INDIAN CUISINE, Houston. The topic being, "You Got To Make It Happen", Conducted by Ms. Sue Kazor - Dale Carnegie Training. As expected, people from various lines of business & profession attended the meeting.

The World Zarathushti Chamber Of Commerce (WZCCA) meeting was held on Sunday 28th. November 2004 at 3:30pm at AZA House. Our guest speaker this time was Mr. Freddy Madon.

The Zarathushti Cultural Center of Delaware Valley, had arranged An Evening of Indian Entertainment on November 26th, 2004 at Ramada Inn, NJ.

Lynne Brindley, Chief Executive of the British Library and her team hosted the WZCC UK at the British Library on 16th November 2004. Graham Shaw, Head of Asia, Pacific and Africa Collections and Ursula Sims-Williams, curator of the Iranian collections spoke on the wide range of Zoroastrian materials to be found in the Library, from manuscripts, letters and rare printed books to drawings and photographs.

WZCC New York Chapter is the first in the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce to invite foreign dignitary, Consul General of India, Mr. Pramathesh Rath, for the meeting which was held on 14th Nov. 2004. The topics were very interesting and the attendees got a chance to taste Parsee delicacies. To top it all the International TV network, TV Asia covered this historic event. This must have given New York Chapter and WZCC an international exposure.

To mark this year as the "Year of the Young Entrepreneur" a full year calendar of programmes has been chalked out for entrepreneurs in specific fields. Our first programme on the calendar was "Video, Photo, Music - For Aspiring Entrepreneurs". This was held on Friday, 5th November 2004, 6.00 p.m. at our WZCCI office.

WZCCME had conducted a Program on 3rd November 2004 at India Club, Dubai. The Title of the Program was "Leading to Change". Tom Young of Sensie International presented the program. Tom talked on critical issues of our times such as Globalization, Leadership,Change and how our businessmen and professionals could stay lean and mean to surf that tsunami of change.

The 1st AGM of Mumbai Chapter was held at Diplomat Hotel, Mumbai on Friday, 15th October 2004. We are glad that many of you joined us for the meeting. THE HOUSTON CHAPTER had arranged a kick-off Dinner, on September 28, 2004, to lead the attendees into a full year of events, seminars & workshops for 2005.

WZCCME Group held a program on 15 th Sept 2004 at India Club. The title of the Program was 'Property Market in Dubai'. The speaker of the event was Mr.Trevor Evans, Vice President, Exhibition & Events, Damac Properties.

The First AGM of WZCC-India was held on 12th September 2004 at West End Hotel. The meeting was followed by a Corporate/General Knowledge Quiz.

Mumbai Chapter had organized a New Year Ball on the auspicious occasion of Parsi New year on Friday, 20th August 2004 at West End Hotel. This family function was followed by Cocktails & Dinner.

Mr. Firoze Andhyarujina gave a speech on "UNION BUDGET 2004" held by the Indo Swiss Society, WZCC - India, Mumbai Chapter on 12th July, 2004, at M.C. Ghia Hall. Mr. Minoo R. Shroff was the Chief Guest for the same.

The Second WZCCI Pune chapter meeting was held on 19th June, 2004, Saturday at Hotel Regency, Pune.

The WZCCI - Mumbai Chapter held a meeting on 13th June 04, at Diplomat Hotel, Mumbai. Mr. Nariman Mogrelia, Chairman & M.D. of Zoro Garments Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, and President of Madras Parsi Zarathushti Anjuman, was the Chief Guest & Keynote Speaker at the meeting.

A meeting was held on 26th April 04, at Diplomat Hotel, Mumbai, for showcasing young entrepreneurs. The Dubai Trade Delegates shared their experiences about Dubai Trade during the Dubai visit, in presence of more than 85 attendees. Mr. Dadi Mistry - Regional Director and Mr. Adi Engineer - President, Pune Chapter were also present. The meeting continued with an interactive session followed by Dinner.

The Ahmedabad Chapter was inaugurated by Mr. Kersi Limathwalla on 25^th April 2004. This was preceded by the release of the Parsi directory for Ahmedabad on 24^th evening. A lot of Zarathushti’s in Ahmedabad showed enthusiasm to join the Ahmedabad Chapter.

The Two way Trade program of WZCC between Middle East and India was a great succes. This special program was promoted for the first time and Professionals and Businessmen from both countries participated in this program to explore possiblities of doing business together.

The Pune chapter of the WZCC-I held it's first Member's meet on 8th April 04 at Hotel Regency with a lively gathering of over 40 participants. Addressing the participants, the Chapter President- Adi Engineer emphasized the importance of re-vitalizing the entrepreneurial role that the community had been famed for in the past.

Ms. Meher Bhesania and Mr. Russi Patel showcased Dubai / UAE to the members, in the Mumbai Chapter's Meeting Program held on February 4, 2004 at Bombay Gymkhana. The attendees showed tremendous enthusiasm and many of the members filled up the feedback forms, indicating their areas of interest.

The WZCC announces the Annual Recognition Awards for the year 2004. Categories would be - Outstanding Zarathushti Entrepreneur of the Year, Outstanding Zarathushti Professional of the Year, Outstanding Young Zarathushti Entrepreneur/Professional of the Year. The Nomination package contains the Rules, Categories, Definition and Evaluation Criteria & Nomination Forms.

Tenaz Dubash and Team, are a group of talented young filmmakers, who have taken on the task of informing the world about our community, and its ancient heritage in a modern context.

The core team consists of a producer/director, two camera-people and an editor, who between them, have produced, written, and edited for ABC, MSNBC, FOX, and PBS. This hour-long documentary, will re-introduce our ancient heritage and our current community to the world.

The World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) recognises every year, the contribution of an Eminent Zarathushti Businessman Worldwide, to the promotion of industry, trade and commerce by conferring Honorary Membership of the Chamber. This year, several nominations were received, of which the unanimous vote of the Board of Directors was in the favour of Mr. Pallonji S. Mistry - Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. The Membership carries with it a specially crafted glass trophy and a certificate to be presented at San Jose, U.S.A. on December 28, 2004.

Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning is delighted to announce the appointment of eminent entrepreneurs Dr. Hermann Hauser and Karan Billimoria, CBE, DL as the first honorary Visiting Entrepreneurs in the 800-year history of the university.

The WZCC Australia Chapter (WZCCA) was inaugurated at Sydney in August 2004. Mr. Phil Madon spoke on how a Zoroastrian empire which covered Europe Asia and parts of China dissolved into pockets and since the last fifty years into small parcels all over the globe.

The Mumbai Chapter's Meeting Program was held on December 16, 2003 at Diplomat Hotel. Mr. ROHINTON RIVETNA, the President of the world body of WZCC, was the Keynote Speaker for the same. It was followed by an Interactive Session.

A special programme was held on December 5, 2003, at Radisson Hotel, to felicitate Mr Nariman. Mr Rohinton Rivetna, our President from USA, was present to do the honours.

2003 was a terrific year for WZCC where two large chapters - India & Middle East were added to our International Network.

WZCC celebrates its third year of operations at at the Annual General Meeting on Nov. 22, 2003 at Toronto, Canada.

WZCC's 2003 Annual General Body meeting  was hosted by the Zoroastrian Association of Toronto under the stewardship of its President Ervad Kobad Zarolia.  His team went beyond the call of duty in ensuring that delegates were met and assisted on arrival and throughout the three-day weekend of meetings.

Meeting held at Garware Club House on 21st November 2003 at 6.30 p.m. on INTERNET MARKETING FOR ENTREPRENEURS followed by WEBSITE DEMONSTRATION & Dinner. The four I's: Identity, Interaction, Information and Innovation were explained & would be implemented by the members.

The Pune Chapter was inaugurated on 15th November 2003, at the Corinthian Club, Pune. Mr. Adi Engineer has kindly consented to preside over the Chapter. Ms. Meher Pudumjee of Thermax and Mr. Farhad Forbes of Forbes Marshall were the speakers from Pune Chapter, besides Mr. Minoo Shroff, Mr. Kersi Limathwalla and Mr. Merzi Chinoy.
